I have played chess for more than 55 years, taught chess to children for 50, and served in chess administration for 45. I was President of the Norwegian Chess Federation for 8 years and organized the 2014 Chess Olympiad in Tromso. I hold the titles of International Organizer (IO) and FIDE Master (FM).

Chess has taken important steps forward under the leadership of Arkady Dvorkovich, yet I believe we still have considerable ground to cover before we realize the full potential of our game – commercially, in its governmental and public status, socially and in education. If elected, this will be my focus.
