I am an international-rated chess player, International Arbiter, organiser and chess administrator with more than four decades of contribution to the development and governance of chess at national and international levels. I currently serve as Chairman of the FIDE Advisory Board, Chairman of the Commonwealth Chess Association and Deputy President of the Asian Chess Federation. I have also served the All India Chess Federation in key leadership roles including Secretary, Chief Executive Officer and Treasurer, besides serving as President of Asian Zone 3.2.

Over the years, I have played an active role in strengthening chess administration, expanding international participation and promoting the growth of chess across Asia and the Commonwealth nations. I have travelled to more than 70 countries in connection with chess activities and have worked closely with national federations, continental bodies and international organisers in the successful conduct and development of the sport.

As an organiser and Tournament Director, I have successfully delivered several major international events including the 44th FIDE Chess Olympiad, World Junior Championship, Commonwealth Chess Championships, Asian Youth Championships and the Global Chess League events in Dubai, London and Mumbai. The successful organisation of the Chennai Olympiad within a very short preparation period received wide appreciation from the international chess community and participating federations.

With extensive experience in chess governance, event management, international coordination and sports administration, I believe I possess the leadership, organisational skills, global perspective and commitment necessary to contribute effectively to the position for which I seek election.
