Chess has been my passion and my professional commitment for more than three decades. I have served chess at national, continental and international levels, including as President of the Nigeria Chess Federation and, since 2018, as a Vice President of FIDE.
I am offering myself for re-election as an elected Vice President of FIDE because I believe that our Federation must continue to become more inclusive, more responsive to its Member Federations and more effective in translating the global growth of chess into sustainable development at every level.
My experience has taught me that the strength of FIDE is ultimately measured not only by the success of its major events, but by the opportunities available to a young player in a developing chess nation, the support available to a national federation, the quality of our arbiters and trainers, and the ability of every member federation to participate meaningfully in the international chess community.
